The new crime lab has 41,000 square feet of new construction, replacing an existing facility on the Houston Regional Headquarters Campus. The new crime lab was designed around state-of-the-art DNA analysis, fire arms analysis, drug analysis, and trace evidence analysis. The lab houses its science and lab techs in an open environment and incorporates design strategies meant to encourage collaboration between related disciplines.

The project consisted of Mott Manufacturing flush overlay fixed and mobile steel casework, Sigma Flex island panels, and VAV Fume Hoods.
